Wildlife Enhancement Project

The pictures above show the steps in order - from locating the holes, to placing the tree, adding the fertilizer & soil enhancements, to filling in the hole and finally, to proudly admiring their handiwork. Thanks to Mike Inman, Larry Warner and Eric Bankhead for posing for the pictures and a big thanks to all the other volunteers. They all participated September 8 in a wildlife enhancement project to improve parts of the National Guard property along County Road 612, just north of KP Lake. The Foundation partnered with Michigan DNR, National Wild Turkey Foundation and Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) to purchase and plant over 100 fruit bearing trees.
